KAUST Solar Center, in collaboration with Saudi Electric Services Polytechnic(SESP) and KAUST Innovation, is hosting the next edition of the KSC-SESP Photovoltaic Design School. The Design School, which started in October 2021, provides staff and students an opportunity to avail of accredited courses and certifications in photovoltaic technology.

Through the Design School, engineering graduates are enabled to work as PV designers in the industrial PV sector, focusing on health and safety, pre-design considerations, and auditing. A variety of hands-on training exercises are provided through ways such as lectures and intensive computational protocol.

The five-day course will run from Sunday-Thursday, 9 am-4 pm daily. Upon completion of the accredited training, participants are eligible to sit a final exam held by the Saudi Electricity Company. Those who pass will be certified PV designers and will be able to work in KSA’s industrial PV sector.
