The KAUST Clean Combustion Research Center (CCRC) is set to host a Combustion Institute-Summer School (CI-SS) from 21 to 25 May 2023.
The primary objective of this event is to increase the visibility of combustion science to young scientists. In line with KAUST’s diversity mission, the school will be open to global participants, with a hybrid format. The KAUST CI-SS on Carbon-Free Combustion aims to educate students on the opportunities and challenges of burning carbon-free fuels such as hydrogen or ammonia.
The curriculum will include a combination of lectures on fundamental combustion science and practical laboratory sessions demonstrating how theory can be applied. The instructors will include experts from academia and industry, providing students with a broader understanding of fundamental and applied combustion science, for a sustainable future.
