KAUST has echoed its sustainability agenda at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Summit, an event informally known as the Davos of the Desert. Celebrating its fifth edition with the theme “Invest in Humanity”, the summit brings together global investors, innovators, entrepreneurs, and heads of state into roundtables and panel discussions on the future of global investment to advance human prosperity.

KAUST President Tony Chan, along with Professors Mani Sarathy and Carlos Duarte, PhD Student Natalia Odnoletkova and Head of Sustainability Dr. Ana Margarida Costa participated in several panel discussions on the impacts of climate change on cities and our oceans, and the importance of investing in preparedness and conservation.
