The KAUST Workshop for Saudi Food Futures, which builds on the 2022 KAUST Workshop for Sustainable Food Security, will gather and mobilize critical stakeholders in the Saudi Arabia food system on the national agenda for sustainable food security with the following objectives:

• Develop strategic priorities to achieve sustainable transformation of the Saudi Food System, based on challenges identified in March 2022
• Deep dive into smart technical solutions for those challenges
• Launch Saudi Food Futures, a transdisciplinary consortium focused on developing evidence-based policy and innovation solutions, to accelerate the transformation of the Saudi food system to be economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable and resilient

The KAUST Workshop for Saudi Food Futures will engage key stakeholders across the KSA food system, including agriculture, food value chain, regulators, giga-projects, consumers, ag-tech, and academia. Saudi youth from across the Kingdom will also be invited to take part in shaping their food future.
